I made an appointment in the morning for me and my mum to get my nails done. I was so pleased that they could take us on such short notice and i am familiar with the shop. I have been happy with their work and service every other time that i had visited. My mum started getting her nails done first and she was a bit indecisive about the colour but the lady seemed very annoyed by her. In the end she chose a colour however her nails were done extremely fast. She waited for them to dry and then went to pay but she did not have enough cash and as their card machine wasnt working she had to leave and come back with cash. When she came back she told me that her nail polish had smudged. She was upset about this but we had other things to do so we left it. Later on we were sat in a coffee shop and we got the chance to properly look at my mums nails. I couldnt believe the state of the nail polish it was so thick and the fact that her cuticles had not been pushed back or cut. Her nails looked like they’d grown out and she got them done two weeks ago not 20 minutes! She was so upset so we went back to the shop and explained that we are not happy with the job done. My mum explained that me and my daughter got our nails done at the same time and they look completely different. The response from the owner was honestly shocking she said something along the lines of ‘your hands dont look like that’ referring to my hands. I was so shocked but I wanted my mum to be happy so told them that they need to be fixed. In the end she opted for gel polish so that she didnt have to wait anymore in the store. Unfortunately because of this experience I dont think that we will be returning to the shop.

Hi,
I took my daughter to do acrylic nails for her birthday, the lady was so upset from the start from us. My daughter wanted to do nail polish that goes lighter at the top but the lady refused and kept arguing about it and then she said she can’t do it although they are posting something like it on their Facebook page. Anyway we weren’t sure about which colour to go for and the lady was so annoyed about that. When I went to pay they told me the machine is not working and I told them why you didn’t say that from the start but the lady and the guy there told me to go and get cash. It is a very bad experience I won’t be going there again.

Firstly, before I even begin writing about my experience, my sister posted a review 2 weeks ago and their response is full of lies. They did not advise her that choosing more than 2 colours would incur extra charges. They certainly did not professionally push back her cuticles and paint the nails properly. A better job could have been achieved at home.

So to come to my review and my experience at JJ Nails. Before we visited this establishment, myself and my sisters researched the nail salons in the Bromley area as neither of us were familiar with the salons and relied heavily on the Google reviews. The reviews are deceiving and I would suggest paying close attention to the negative reviews they have. Anyway, we chose JJ Nails.

Prior to the technicians starting our nails, we sat down and had a look through the colours they had to offer. Their selection at this point felt promising and we chose the colours and were quickly seated for them to start. As we sat down, we were told we had to go to the wall and pick the colours ourselves. This to me was odd as I've never had to do this before. It took a good 5 minutes for me to find the colours I had chosen as they were not in numerical order and different varnish brands were mixed together. My sister chose to have 5 colours and almost every colour she wanted was not available. When we asked the staff if they had them, we were told "no". If you do not have the colours, don't advertise like you do.

The technician started shaping out nails (the only thing they had asked us as this point was what shape we wanted). I was luckier than my sisters as my cuticles were attended to properly. But here comes the part that really frustrated me and caused me to write this review. After the nails were shaped etc, I was asked what design I wanted, when I showed a photo of what I wanted (nothing overly special, just coloured french tips), I was told it would be an extra £10.00. £10.00 for what? For you to use less polish? There was no way I was going to pay an extra £10.00 for that when I have never ever paid that price for that design. I told them to forget abut the french design and just go with plain colour on each nail. When the tech was finished, I was told to go and sit in the other side of the room to dry my nails. No indication of how long I should sit under the drier, I just had to guess.

I was relieved for it to be over because I was growing tired of having the back of my hand smacked every time I moved an inch.

I have used so many nail salons so I like to think I know what is a good salon and what isn't. This isn't a good salon and I would not recommend either. i am looking forward to the reply which will most likely be a pack of lies like the response to my sisters was.

Absolutely my go to place since moving here from California. The team is friendly, accommodating, and very skilled. I highly recommend them and at times they are super busy so patience for walk-in is needed. I recommend scheduling to keep everything seamless!
Thanks guys!

Absolutely terrible experience, booked an appointment for 18:45 and didn’t get seated until 19:30, and served a woman without an appointment before me! Nail woman scratched my fingers so they bled twice, and at end of appointment there was nail varnish on my finger and she was just going to leave it! Then when I brought this up to her, she said wash it away, which I tried to do and didn’t work, so then she scratched this off of me. Then the card machine wasn’t working so I was having to stand there for 10 minutes, after my appointment was delayed by 45 mins, waiting for the card machine to work, and then was questioned as to why I didn’t have any cash on me as if it was my fault their card machine wasn’t working. Don’t promote card payments if you’re then going to moan about them! Then they tried to charge me for gel when I specifically said no gel at the start of the service, absolutely appalling service and staff, all of them rude. Will not be returning as I don’t believe customers should be treated in this manner .

Hygiene is questionable as the person who was doing my nails was not wearing gloves. I've done my nails 9 days ago and 2 of them already pealed of. The lady who was doing my nails was kind of rude when talking which tbh didn't happen a lot. No cuticles work at all and the gel polish application could have been better as not smooth.
