Rutland Water Nature Reserve

Rutland Water reserve is a lovely place to go for a walk with your loved ones / family. There is a plenty of wildlife, green spaces and sights to relax and explore. The car park is really big and have plenty of spaces to park. There is a cafe, shop and toilets if you need one. I would like to recommend Rutland Water Nature Reserve 👍

We normally cycle round but today we decided to walk the 16 miles round, 6 hours stopping off at the pub half way round and a couple of Tea stops, lovely walk with great scenery.

Very picturesque. We hire bike and cycle around. It's 23 miles if you do the whole track.

I literally love it,
Just the perfect place to know at its best the wild life of the aerea together with some well positioned hides to admire birds flying around the little ponds.
I recommend everyone coming to the Rutland water area to visit and maybe have a guided tour of the reserve.

Good place to spend day with friends and family. BBQ and picnic spots available. Water sports activities also there. Mini golf is good.

Good place to visit. It has north beach and south beach with parking. There is a visitor centre with a cafe and toilets.
There is a lovely church that just out into the water. You can walk round the outside of it. ( used to be open ) also a boat ride round the reservoir not far from the church... worth a visit... hope to post photos...

Great weather......34-Deg C.......cycle paths variable in quality.... from tarmac to dusty/rocky tracks. A no-no for road bikes/tyres!! Great ride though....LOTS of friendly/HELPFUL people.....help/guidance WAS frequently needed as cycle path NOT appropriately signposted when so badly NEEDED at times!!!! Good microbrewery in Oakham: Grianstore.

A fun filled day riding bikes with friends around the park, took us like 3 hours to go round but was worth it. Recommend your bicycle is in top shape or you can always rent from the shop and they do repairs as well. Great place for family and friends
