Beautiful nature reserve lovely for long walks

Great natural environment, brilliant fresh air and plenty to see and do even for kids. A must visit to appreciate the natural wildlife.

Many nice walks through unspoilt country side along side lakes and through woodland as well as open meadows.
Every third Tuesday in the month a walk through Watermead to Wanlip Meadows and onto Wanlip Church Hall for tea and nibbles is a delight.

Beautiful and rustic by day.
The setting for a horror movie at night.
The picturesque features are slightly dampened by the overwhelming smell from the nearby pig farm and sewage station.

Great for long walks

A good place to wander, get back to nature and see Leicester in a different light.

Good for dog walkers, lots of different birds to see.

Access either through watermead or from church road. The cows are very territorial!
