I've been walking here for 20 years and watched it change and pass onto the national trust after the gravel pits. It's now lush and green and really well established. My dogs loved it down here. Now that the national trust run this area unfortunately dogs cannot swim in the lake because of the wildlife, which is a shame. A great walking spot.

Great place to visit to get close to wildlife at any time of year. The lakes and marshes attract lapwing, great egret and heron whilst the recent starling mermurations have been stunning and such a treat to see. It does give hope that wildlife can survive and thrive if given a chance

Pleasant riverside nature reserve with good walks. Limited wildlife seen on recent visit because of heat and dryness - heron, tern, speckled wood butterflies, damselflies, hawker dragonflies.
