A great place for fishing, but not as good for nature watching. We visited Sunday afternoon, and it was quiet busy with fishermen, but not much wildlife. A midweek visit may be better.

Run of mill . Does have Hides for Bird watching and car accessible. Fishing is allowed . As Ponds are former quarry pits . All linked .
Main pond which services current operations .
Has large Carp in poor Condition to around 40 pound . ALSO holds good head of Roach . Plus 2 Large Catfish . Biggest to around 70lb .
Main pond has gravel bar can be found by locating disused water pipe . Toilets are located near Working quarry .

Beautiful nature reserve. Be sure to contact the wildlife trust for the permit to use the hides. Met some lovely people & especially the kind & knowledgeable chaps who visit the hide almost daily 😊

Beautiful place! Shame about all the fishermen that are about but otherwise such a beautiful place and worth a visit!

Quite nice but smaller than I expected.
Good if you want to spend an hour looking for birds. You can't get into the two hides unless you get a permit first.

2 good hides for birding. Need a permit to get access code. Next to a quarry and dump. We didn't get any special bird, maybe unlucky. Muddy site, free access and car park. Close to Colemere.
