Mardley Heath

Pleasant place for a walk, horse ride or cycle, depending on your interests. Parts of the area are hilly around the actual healthland in the woods, so be prepared for mixed terrain

One of the best local spots for a walk. Nice and light and not too muddy. Great for kids with lots of little mounds to climb and criss-crossing paths to wander along. Good rope swing area too. Good parking some information boards.

Plenty to do here. Tree swinging, den building, bike riding, dog walking etc. Lucky to have places like this on our doorstep. Free car park too

Beautiful nature reserve with lots of paths to avoid people and social distance. Especially during autumn this is a blace to go. Have a wander through the birches and enjoy the colorful leaves, hunt for mushrooms and watch the Jays and squirrels squabble for acorns.

Don't be a terrible person and pick up your rubbish, don't litter :) the wildlife will thank you for it.

Great for a cool walk in the woods, the butterflies are out on the heath now. Remember to pick up your rubbish though as people keep littering the beauty spots.

Great wooded area for a walk in the shade. Fun for my dog to run around off leash. Very pretty scenery, well worth a visit.

This has been walking distance from home for years and I never knew about it! I'm so glad to have discovered a lovely local place to go for a quiet walk and experience nature, especially during lockdown. Bring some shoes you don't mind getting muddy, or like me, come ill-prepared and just go for it anyway! An endless walk through the woods with some good bumps and ditches on way. What's more to love? 😁

Great for trail running. Mostly woodland with some farm fields and quiet country lanes. Very muddy and wet in winter.
