I love the peace and quiet when you walk into here. It’s very hidden away but it is great to walk through here either in a loop or as part of a larger walk around the city. I’ve seen lots of wildlife in here including deer so worth keeping an eye out.

An oasis of nature and calm !
Great for a wander or a serious Nature spotting session.
Take a packed lunch (and take your litter home!) and sit and savoir the wildlife around you, don't forget to look to the skies too.

Impressed with it today on my first visit. Really natural. Looks like it will be teeming with life in the spring so plan to return.

My first visit, a very pleasant evening walk around the circuit, this is a wonderful place for wildlife, I only saw the more common birds, but chiffchaffs were singing, a true sign of spring. No dogs are allowed, which is a real bonus for those ground nesting birds
The Itchen looked great in the evening sunshine, and the gnarled trees added to the beauty of the place

Well-reserved nature reserve hidden in the middle of the town. Lovely place to walk and relax anytime. Saw all sorts of wildlife and lovely wooden sculptures and benches. You can walk to the recreation ground from here.

Really nice and easy walk. The path is easy and accessible to everyone and forms a circular route with a few paths shooting off to the side to small areas with benches. Talking about benches there are plenty along the path if you want to sit down. This is a really good park to see wildlife, from deer to butterflies there is plenty to see.

Whenever I am back in Winchester I usually visit Winnall Moors nature reserve.

It is lovely there. You would not know that it is so close to town.

When I have been there before I had never seen any wildlife.

Today I saw quite a few of the local inhabitants.

I will definitely be going back again when I am back in Winchester.
