Peaceful place for a walk. Small charge to go in. No dogs allowed because of the wildlife. Did see two deer whilst on my walk.

Lovely place for a walk and right on the doorstep. Plenty of wildlife to see and peace and quiet in abundance.

If you get the chance, when this reserve can reopen in 2021 (hopefully) do go.
Gosport is so lucky to have this little (actually quite large ) piece of natural woodland and open space. Which is well worth the small charge to visit. Great for families with children but note that dogs must be on leads. Or just a place to go and escape the "rat race" . Treat it kindly, take your rubbish home ( there are no litter bins) and enjoy this natural paradise

Excellent area for dog walkers/cyclists etc
Sandwiched between the country to the north & right next to the coast - keep an eye out and you may just catch a glimpse of our deer

Nice place to walk or cycle around for all ages.
There's, a bmx track and play equipment aswell.
Lots of ducks to feed to.

A pleasant place at this time of year, especially on a day when most folk are elsewhere (I'm lucky enough to work nights, and so visit such places on Tuesday mornings and things. It does near make up for the hells of working at nights!) a nice place indeed!

Little Woodham was a great morning out. Well organised.
The reinactors were brilliant and we had great conversations about life back in the day.
The surgeon was a great talk! We spent 40 mins listening to how amputation worked back then!
All staff were friendly and helpful.
Will definitely be returning

Many people mention walking dogs here. WRONG! Dogs are NOT allowed in the Wildgrounds Nature Reserve, neither are cycles or picnics. There is also a small charge to enter the Wildgrounds Nature Reserve, and there are restricted opening hours. The, unexpectedly large, area has been left as nature intended and is a beautiful, quiet oasis of woodland, ponds and wildlife. Some people are obviously confusing the area with the adjacent Alver Valley open area. The most pleasurable thing about the Wildgrounds is the lack of dogs running around out of control. Not everyone is a fan of dogs.
