Bibury is such a picturesque place so lovely to walk around.
We walked on New Year's Day, which was one of the few dry days over the holiday period. The ground was saturated, turning the footpaths into bogs in some areas, so I would highly recommend good walking boots or even Wellington boots when wet. We visited this area after two weeks of continuous rain, I'm sure it's much more easy going in drier weather.
Iron Age settlement, also lots of different paths to follow for those that like to explore plus there is a excellent cafe there with really friendly staff.
One of the highlights of Burton-on-the-water is the beautiful Riverside Walk, which takes visitors along the river and through the village. The walk is a great way to enjoy the peaceful setting and take in the sights and sounds of the village.
There are also plenty of charming shops and restaurants in Burton-on-the-water, making it a great place to spend the day. The village is home to a variety of independent boutiques and specialty shops, as well as a range of cafes and pubs serving delicious food and drink.
Overall, Burton-on-the-water is a delightful place to visit and offers something for everyone. Whether you're looking for a peaceful day out in the countryside or a chance to explore the charming shops and restaurants, Burton-on-the-water is definitely worth a visit.
