The Cotswolds are worth a visit and a stay for a few days. There are numerous beautiful villages, churches, gardens and parks, as well as wonderfull footpaths through woods, hills, riverbeds... Make sure you wear the right shoes, or wellies...

Stunning scenery and gorgeous walks through rolling hills. Picturesque buildings that look like they belong in a distant past before the age of the motor car. Its easy to see why this area is classed as an area of outstanding natural beauty.
We walked on New Year's Day, which was one of the few dry days over the holiday period. The ground was saturated, turning the footpaths into bogs in some areas, so I would highly recommend good walking boots or even Wellington boots when wet. We visited this area after two weeks of continuous rain, I'm sure it's much more easy going in drier weather.

Bibury is such a picturesque place so lovely to walk around. Tourists were a bit noisy when we went but it was still beautiful.
Iron Age settlement, also lots of different paths to follow for those that like to explore plus there is a excellent cafe there with really friendly staff.
