Nice little wooded area for a wonder despite the humming background noise of the A12! On one occasion we did actually see a deer.
You can access the area by taking the path behind the hospital or via the access on Firstore drive - there is no dedicated parking. (Note: there is a small free car park opposite hospital)

Despite living nearby for over 30 years I only learned of this wildlife area this week. I have been here twice in three days. The trees are mostly beech and their new leaves cast a dappled light onto the forest floor. There are several different paths to follow and, despite the intrusion of traffic noise, birds can be heard twittering away. At present, with dry ground and lots of sunshine, it is a magical place.

Lovely little place for walks but not very suitable for buggies or wheelchair users.

Nice walk, could of done with some grounds keeping in some of the pathways but good area for a walk

A nice walk, dirt tracks, wear wellies , dependant on weather. Lots of trees, nice scenery.
