Really nice walks along the riverside and through woodland paths. You can also walk all around the golf course. Easily spend a couple of hours if you walk round the whole lot.

This is a fine place, not too far from the city center. Quite popular among dog walkers and joggers. To enjoy early in the morning for the best nature views and sounds. Gets a bit muddy in the winter, don't forget your wellies.

Good for a quiet walk along the river. Especially dog owners walk their pets in the area near the river.

We have been using the nature reserve regularly over the past 2 years. Even more so with the pandemic and subsequent lockdowns. It is the space and nature that helped us to keep our sanity during the difficult times.
Lovely place to enjoy as a family to have picnics or to just jog/walk for fitness. Have seen many enjoying the river with paddle boards and canoes (Not done myself) Can be boggy/muddy in places when raining. Be prepared to carry your litter. Parking spaces available but can be limited during mornings and evenings when its busy.

Great location for running, walking and you can swim in the river here too. The nature reserve and nearby parkland and discussed golf course means it's a huge area to explore so close to town
