Hatherop Park is hidden away at the westerly tip of the Hamptons, and the conservation area is hidden at the back of the park, where few beyond dog walkers reach. Be that as it may, it is a lovely spot full of birdsong, flower meadows, bramble and wild roses providing shelter and food for wildlife. Kempton Park nature area is just to the south, and a disused and largely empty empty reservoir providing wetland and other habitats to the north, Hatherop is part of a belt of conservation that reaches from Hanworth all the way down to the river. For its size, Hatherop Conservation Area packs in a lot of wildlife; it makes for a very pleasant stroll.

Very enjoyable walk with our dog around here. We walk across Hampton Common on a circular route.
