A very pleasant walk along the path of an old railway line. Picked it up near Highgate Station and walked to Finsbury Park where it ends. I believe it starts a little further North but check that if you go! Many dog walkers, a few runners and a few cyclists. Quite a bit of street art and some old platforms still in place. Good way to pass time on a pleasant day.

Wonderful! I picked the perfect day as well to go out in the sunshine. I did a 10-minute meditation session sitting there about a quarter of the way through the walk. It's my second time I've been to Parkland Walk and it's worth the visit if you're a fan of nature. I'm certainly adding it to my regular lifestyle.

There are two sections of Parkland Walk which I found out on my latest walk today. The South side stretches from Finsbury Park railway station to Crouch End (the photos from that I've already uploaded). The North side of Parkland is the Muswell Hill section which stretches to Alexandra Palace and I have some cracking pictures of that section for you!

The parkland walk is the remaining route of an abandoned Victorian railway line, and part of the abandoned northern heights project. Today, it is the longest linear park in London and a great way to journey between Finsbury park and Highgate.
End to end is roughly 3km so makes a good track for a 5km run, and the details along the way such as the abandoned station at crouch end and fun interest points for kids. It can get a little busy and crowded by the nature of being a narrow linear park, but if you're looking for a dog walk, slow cycle, or place to run, few places compare to the flat and accessible secret hidden in North London

This walk, an old railway conversion, is not fancy in any way, but it's perfect for runners and dog walkers. Its informal feel and graffiti that adorn the sides of the walk give it very Berlin-like atmosphere.

I’ve lived near the Parkland Walk for over a decade, and love having it nearby, as it functions as a good way to get away from the noise and the concrete of the urban sprawl, spend time amongst trees, and get some fresh air. There are multiple entrances, allowing you to join and leave the walk quite freely, and the path is dotted with things to discover, from the “Spriggen” sculpture to the varied graffiti, the “holloways” of trees and the various nature preserves, such as the alkali grasses and the garden at the Highgate end. Many people use it, so you will often find people waking their dog, out for a stroll, or getting exercise. Parkland Walk is one of London’s hidden gems, and well worth a visit.

Beautiful place, great for a walk or cycling. I would not recommend it for road bikes as there are a lot of gravels...and sometimes broken glass. There are a few pathways with concrete but those are very narrow and pedestrians are all over the place. I found the path to be pretty flat in general so it was not very difficult to cycle all the way. Though, I came from the Camden area and the roads / surroundings are very hilly so it was quite an adventure to reach this place! If you have a car to tow your bikes to this place, it might be a more enjoyable experience! I encountered mostly families and dog owners in this park and everyone was very friendly.

We had never been here before and decided to come for a walk to get out of the house. It had rained a bit and some areas were muddy and puddly, but for the most part walkable. It was a peaceful getaway from London’s traffic noises. It was also interesting to see how nature had taken over the old railway platform.

A good spot for a walk/jog which is typically far enough away from traffic etc that you won't hear it. The ground is quite uneven/covered in pebbles and prone to muddiness in poor weather, so bear that in mind. It's very popular, so it's highly unlikely that you'll have the place to yourself.
