Fabulous place we horse ride over the chase around three time's aweek.
We also take our dog for family walks,
Our grandchildren often ride their bikes through the new ride ways. Excellent place for families

Beautiful open nature area to walk, lots of different trails to follow. Also wooded hillsides if you like walking up hills. August the Heather is purple swathes for miles, a most beautiful sight to see

Fantastic place to rest from the noisy cities. This time we give up any other attractions for just walks between trees and birds singsong listen. Not overcrowded like some parks. Clean. Recommend!

This was our first visit, we went to park on the visitor centre but found it was a cash only machine and we didn’t have any on us (we presumed an app like justpark would be available so be mindful of this when visiting). However, there are plenty of small free car parks dotted around the area, we found one just down the road (Note, this was mid week and quiet - can imagine they fill quickly on weekends and holidays).
We decided to stick to a simple walk, there are plenty of maps, signs and directions around so tough to get lost if you stick to the main pathways. It is a large area, great for exploring and we will be going back to look around further. The Visitor centre is good, serves food and drinks and has toilet facilities available - would recommend a visit.
It is a peaceful, lovely place for a walk and we would highly recommend it.

Stunning place to visit and go for a walk. Lots of wild areas and interesting trails to explore.

The area is quite hilly in places, which provides some incredible views of the surrounding countryside.

There's ample car parking and some public restrooms at the Marquis Drive Visitor Centre, then plenty paths to follow from there.

So much wildlife to see too!

Wonderful experience. Went Cannock Chase for a nice long walk in the woods, bonus I got to see a real life deer in the wild, and there was a cute river with stepping stones. Some of the small walks are a bit overgrown so we stuck to the main routes. Will definitely return. Easy access, parking on site.

Lovely heathland with vallies and ancient woodlands to explore. Great place for a dog walk. Not many places to dispose of poo bags so be prepared to take any home with you. Lots of adjacent villages with dog friendly pubs to enjoy a well earned drink in after a walk.

We love the Welcome Centre entrance, and the endless amounts of exploring you can do. The parking on the roads around it is free and these pictures are on the walk to the lakes and bake through the woods. Beautiful afternoon out. 🥰
