Not so much a nature reserve, but more of a walk round the Quarry border. It's s great walk, opens up in to some lovely countryside, past a great pub that's Dog Friendly, inside and out.

A quiet little walk tucked away, good for taking the dog on a short walk but can be combined with other longer walks and links to the canal if you carry on. It has good parking and is well maintained.

Windmill Hill is a nature walk.
It’s a walk that takes you around an old quarry , it’s a nature reserve and is a peaceful area.

The quarry is no longer in use and as the name suggests an old windmill was located here.

The walk is well signposted and the paths and bridges are in good order.

A car park at the entrance is handy and an easy place to start.

The walk is easy to follow but isn’t very long. If you have mapping apps or a real map you can link some of the other walking trails in the area,
This is great as you can create a nice circular route that starts and finishes at Windmill Hill.

The only issue is a lack of amenities of any kind however it’s still an enjoyable place to visit and explore.

The Nature reserve; despite being a quite compact location, it provides more than enough space and freedom for those to get away from urban visuals and life, even just for a short while. There are benches placed along path ways, gorgeous views over looking distant boroughs and the many farms scattered over the west Midlands horizon. The reserve can also be a great little beginner hike, due to its sloped environment, giving all generations a well paced walking exercise. I believe the Reserve should have been expanded upon, instead of the still recent, intrusive, urban housing settled right above it, along Mancetter road.

First time here. Nice walks. If you go all way to bottom, it's a bit of a slog coming back up!
Will better in nicer weather.
