Lovely open space for children to run about without coming to any harm

Nice part of the forest especially if you want to let children run and play with a ball or fly a kite and still not be far away from the trees. We took a picnic and folding table and chairs then set up in the shade of a tree. Car park was all but empty all day (Monday) so was a lovely quite spot.

Great place. Few cars. Few parking spaces. Quiet. Open and can be windy. Safe for kids, kites, not really ideal for large group picnics as roaming horses/bulls visit small pond. Nice heather.

One of the larger car parks along this road, public toilets available and usually an ice cream van. Large open heathland with some scrubland around the edge. Ponies often found here. Can be a big breezy but great for kite flying, cycling, scooting, ball games etc. Our family loves it here.

The lovely weather helped but who cannot love the New Forest area?

It's the New Forest! Not much else to say.
Lovely little enclosure, great for a meet up.
