A most beautiful, exquisite walk. Surrounded by so much nature, the stepping stones of logs, the nooks and crannies for the wild life.
I walk this every week and every time I constantly see something breathtaking.
It always takes me back to being a child with pure excitement and delight.

Absolutely beautiful. Good lowland raised bog and fab wet meadows. Love it! Nice circular route.

Lovely place to walk around pub at end of walk

A beautiful tranquil gem hidden away behind houses and farm land. Plenty of interesting flora and fauna. The moss itself is a raft of peat floating on an underground lake over 5000 years old. Now a national nature reserve of special scientific interest due to rare plants and insects.

The moss itself is quite dangerous, but there are a few options should you want to visit

1) Circular Walk. There is a circular walk that goes all that way around the moss. You won't go into the moss itself. This is the most popular, and conveniently has a pub to stop at half way. Ideal for dog walking.

2) Public footpath through the moss. There is a short walk that takes you through a predefined route. It's extremely wet and muddy, even in the summer months. Not really ideal if you're walking dogs, and you'll definitely want wellies

3) Guided tour. If you want to go into the moss itself, this is your only option. You'll need to contact Natural England to organise it

A nice walk around the nature reserve. It's the first time we have visited so we weren't sure what to expect with having two dogs in tow.

Overall a pleasant walk, which is not too difficult to navigate. Dogs must stay on the lead throughout the walk so if you want your dog to run free, it's best to choose a different walk.

Very disappointed with my first visit to this location. As it's a SSSI I was expecting it to be a well managed area but many of the water areas had oil on the surface and there needs to be a proper boardwalk all around the public access route
