Had thought it would be larger. Appreciate that it is supposed to be all natural, but doesn't look like anyone has maintained it in a while as there's a fallen tree that blocks the path. Not a problem for me but might be for anyone requiring wheelchair access.
Otherwise it's pleasant enough considering it's slotted in between the train line and busy roads and there's a good amount of parking.

Lots of men milling around and / or sleeping in vans. Dirty. Did not feel safe with my dog and daughter.

Stopped here while on a long journey to buy a picnic lunch from Sainsbury's next door and take a break.

An easy walk from the far corner of the supermarket car park and you are in quiet (ish) nature.

Seems well used and I great condition

A very nice and calm walk during the day. It has a feel of a small forest coupled with various pathways all the way down to the lake. Don't forget to check out the wooden horse and the nice pond just by the car park. An interesting sight!. Overall Really de stressing and enjoyable.

A much needed green space however it's in a triangle between Watchmoor Park Sainsburys (it's just behind the petrol station), a train line and a busy A-road so it's not exactly serene.

Was very wet when we went and the path was flooded so bring wellies. Was a general feel of dilapidation to be honest. It's also quite a short loop so maybe explore other local options along the river Blackwater if you want to stretch your legs.
