Beautiful and peaceful hidden away nature reserve - I think we were the only people there! Lovely trails, bird hides and a compost loo! The entrance is not always open but the key is available from the porch of the neighbouring house so you can let yourself in.

Lovely little reserve, collect keys from keepers house and make a donation. Even has a compost toilet so donate well to maintain facilities. Well maintained hide and in very cold weather birds flock there as it doesn't freeze. Not formal paths so proper footwear needed.

Had a wonderful visit with my Beaver colony. Barry and Lynne were really helpful as wardens. We'll be making a donation to HMWT to say thank you. Once the new boardwalk area is finished it'll be even more accessible.
