This is, as ever, an excellent place for a walk on a quiet afternoon. Lots of the great outdoors to see, including a lovely lake. All credit to Audley Angling club who seem to have taken on looking after it.
Edit: Went for another walk at the very top by the bird sanctuary. Muddy, but great.

Very nice place, came on a bike, but did not ride, it's still a nature reserve

Visited as a pitstop on a long journey to walk the dogs. A much bigger area than I'd thought, not just a lake! Clear paths, gorgeous lake, good parking, bins and benches dotted around.

Great place to relax and enjoy some nature.

Everytime I've gone it hasn't been overly busy which I prefer. Zuko can run off lead in some areas but just keep an eye out for signs for when it says to put them on the lead (usually at the lake or going into a field)

Carpark is small do just be awear of that.

Lovely reserve with good walking paths around a large fishing lake. Popular with dog walkers. A little hidden gem with parking on nearby dirt road and connecting paths to the local area.

Love walk around nature reserve. Very muddy Dec 2021, some stiles not secured properly, take care when climbing over. Parked by memorial to Minnie pit disaster, very sad.

Bateswood is local to me offering many different paths to explore. Plenty of benches to sit and take in the beautiful surroundings. Looked after by local people. Well done and thank you .
