Great place to visit with your doggies. There's ample space in the car park and it is free of charge. Once you start your walk towards the left there is a wet grassland. My doggies love it but I would recommend wellies as it is wet. 🤭 There are no livestock here however behind the huge trees there's a pathway where occasionally you'll see horse riders. Further up you'll find another lake and massive fields. Again there is the occasional horse rider so if your doggies are not good around horses keep them on the lead. The good news is once you reach the Manor Floods you can see all the fields as it is relatively flat. Once you start going back you'll see the entrance to another set of fields. Be aware that there are cows here, no signs to say there are any so just be mindful. The whole area is wet and muddy but it is a good fun walk. Not my favourite hence the 4* but the doggies love the puddles so if they reviewed it they'll give it 5*. 🤭

Great place for bird...especially water bird watching. Good parking. It is a short walk with good wheel chair access round the lake or longer walks stetch from here in many directions.

It’s a lovely place however I feel it could do with more, I know it will never compete with Attenborough nature reserve may be a little play park for children might be nice.

It was a lovely place to walk no matter for young or old , there are benches in a lot of places for resting, a lot of direction sign, people are friendly and view are brilliant.

Dog need to be on lead to protect swans, ducks and babies.

There is a car park so no need to worry about i. I have a lovely day there, walking and taking photos, enjoying the view and talking to friendly people, forget all my trouble 👍🏻

A wonderful surprise of a location. Great walks enjoyed around a couple of ponds and wet woodland. Plenty of wildlife to be seen and heard. Well worth a visit no matter how much time you have available.

Straw's bridge has free parking, plenty of swans and ducks to watch and lots paths to explore. Can get busy in car park and around the main lake. Car park has recycling bins and litter bins. No toilets. Easy access to the Nutbrook Trail for longer walks to Shipley County Park. The paths are surfaced and well maintained to allow easy walking. Lots of wildlife. Lovely place to visit to enjoy wildlife and enjoy walking in the area.

A diamond in the rough. A really nice reserve that we have frequented for many years. Can get busy at the weekend, but there are some really pleasant walks that start from here! Also, plenty of birds.

Beautiful lake with lots of waterfowl. Pushchair and wheelchair friendly to walk round. It's on the Nutbook trail a lovely walk to Shipley Country Park and a choice of three cafés or follow the trail to Long Eaton
