Lovely set of walks for every level of walker (see photos as I’ve there’s a shot of a map with all the walks).

Very scenic routes of wildlife, history, mountains, rivers and we ended our walk on a stunning waterfall.

There is toilets available at the cottage as well as a museum but there is no food or drink on site. Dogs were welcome but on leads only.

As always in wales come weather prepared as even though it started sunny we got drenched by a downpour mid walk. Walking boots recommended.

We easily spent 2-3 hours on the mid level history walk stopping for lunch too.

The main carpark is fairly small, if you can’t park there seems to be another car part around the corner. Disabled parking was available too.

A beautiful place to go for a relaxing walk with the dog. We hardly saw anyone while we were there which was great. Felt like we had it to ourselves

Superb. The river scenery and bird life is spectacular.
We've been twice now: early June great for birds especially pied fly catcher. Late July when the meadow was ablaze with colour.

Beautiful reserve especially in the sun. Lots of different trails for people to walk with differing degrees of abilities.

Lots of varied paths and loads of information. Would be good if they could move the sheep out of some areas, especially the meadows and let nature come back

Excellent place to walk your dogs. Nice and tranquil walking trails. 2 miles from Rhayader town. Beautiful hillside!

A bit wet and windy the day we stopped, but it's nice nature reserve with a number of different walks. Basic facilities on-site beyond the first car park up by the old farmhouse. There's plenty of picnic spots so would be worth visiting during the summer months.

Some of the walks would make decent mountain bike trails and looked like someone had given it go too on the walks we went on!

Wonderful nature reserve set in the heart of the Marteg valley in the Cambrian Mountains. A peaceful place to take you on various walks and observe wildlife. Not far from Rhayader and there is parking and a visitor centre where information is provided about the area.
