The Eirias Park 'lake' is slowly turning into a bit of a wildlife sanctuary. Formerly a boating 'lake' but in more recent times a reed bed has been established at one end. The 'lake' used to be drained for fireworks night (5th November'ish), but not last year, instead an area of grass was singed and burnt. The 'lake' is home to swans ducks and some other birds, one rather wonders how the noise of bonfire night will go down with said wild life.

Good place to chill when it's hot and sunny, got the park for the kids to play in and you can use a rc boat in the lake or you can hope for swans to be there and you can watch them swim about in the lake

I can remember when you could look into the water here and see newts swimming about. These days the water is so dark it's like looking into oil. Having said that the swans, coots and mallards that have made the lake their home seemed happy enough to be there.

Good play area. A wilder play area close by. Near to the beach and a natural trail. Small pond with birds. Many sports facilities nearby.
