Cambridge Lola Lo

Lola Lo is excellent for parties! We just had the most amazing hen do cocktail making experience here. The hosting by Lara and Jack was just brilliant they were friendly, helpful and so lovely we couldn’t have had a better time. Also the package was such good value for money I would definitely recommend! Dancing, lots of cocktails and a quiz it is was so much fun.

Had a great time on Saturday night. Staff are super friendly and helpful getting around the venue. Roof terrace is a huge asset especially on these warm evenings. Drinks are reasonably priced, well made and the music is great! Very comfortable venue for those over 25 in particular. A special shout out to the lady that made our evening, Rocher - my friend and I (in our drunken haze) left our drinks unattended and she took her own initiative to hide them away and return them to us safely when we returned. Diligence like this is essential for customer and particularly womens safety in this day and age. She really blew me away, we felt very safe and taken care of in Lola Lo. Had a great hen at Lola Lo cocktail making! Lara and Jack, the hosts, were amazing. Made us feel really welcome. We had welcome prosecco, lots of cocktails and fun making them as well. Quiz was good fun - would recommend.

Came to Lola lo after realising vinyl was closed. Nice looking place, bouncer let me in with a citizenship card which they don't normally accept which was very nice of them. However the people here are a lot more withdrawn and keep to themselves, unlike vinyl where you can pretty much walk up to anyone and start dancing, the people in Lola lo were a lot more closed off. Drinks were nice, although slightly expensive. The music was good, they played a lot of songs that lots of people know, but the songs were a bit too edited for my taste and they didn't let a song play to the end before they edited a completely different song in. Toilets were pretty clean, cleaner than your average, but still ended up getting an Uber earlier than expected. Great place for large groups of friends, but for 2 or 3 friends it can feel a bit excluding and you're better off going to vinyl if you have a smaller friend group.

WOW what a experience! Had the cocktail class, our host Woody, was great! Thank you so much Woody for making my sisters Hen Party a memory to remember.
Atmosphere was perfect, very accomodating and great value for money

Got kicked out because my friend was kissing me. Apparently public affection is not permitted at this place. Since when has this been a reason to kick people out? People who paid to be in there and thus had every right to be there may I add. Not worth the money.

When I tried to leave, the bouncers wouldn't allow me to grab my jumper that I had left beside the table we had booked, (I left it there because the cloak room had been closed for the night). They closed the area with the table off spontaneously and refused to either grab my clothes or let me grab them.

The bouncers were bullies that prided themselves on the power they had over me and 3 other guests who were also looking for their belongings. They laughed at us, telling us we would have to come back in the morning. When one of the other guests pointed out that we would be very cold without our clothes they only said "it's not that cold is it" while laughing with their friends. Because I had argued with them, they "banned" me from the club (not that I have any intention to come back after that experience).

In their opinion it was unreasonable for us to leave our belongings next to the tables we had booked after we had been told the cloakroom was closed and therefore it would be reasonable to withhold the items from us until the next day.

Whether or not the bouncers are hired by the club directly or via an agency, these bouncers (night 29th-30th of September) need changing, as they have shown to abuse their power repeatedly (looking at other reviews confirms this). Unfortunately a night that could have been great was ruined.

Update: the bouncers threw all of our clothes outside on the ground without telling anyone. Those of us that went home to pick their things up tomorrow won't be getting their things back ever. Unbelievable

I attended a New Year Party with my wife and few friends. The club was overcrowded, drinks served awfully( tequila with no lemon) not enough staff at the bar. Security unprofessional and treat people with no respect. Bouncers are bullies. My recommendation to everyone is: avoid this club.
