My partner wanted to go here but the doorman refused entry apparently my partner was not dressed appropriately. My partner was wearing brand new jogger bottoms and a Liverpool t shirt. It is discrimination to refuse entry to anywhere because of what one is wearing. That is not the only incident that occurred the doorman pushed my partner three times and then called the police.
The police did nothing about it one officer kept out of the situation whilst the other kept invading my partners personal space which my partner repeatedly told him get out of my personal space. I think this officer was just itching to get an arrest and was goading my partner. My partner and myself suffer from anxiety depression and my partner does have anger issues and the police know he has anger issues yet rather than be understanding of this and treat people with issues like this gently and tact they go charging in. I messaged the Boston via Facebook messenger and at first the person who replied did not even give their name. And ask what time it happened so they can investigate. Then I was told that the doorman is supplied by an outside contractor and they could do nothing as any disciplinary action was the responsibility of the security firm. Then suddenly so quickly I got another reply that the doorman and police reports say my partner used threatening behaviour. Oh and the person who replied put a smile emoji. Are they stupid putting a smile emoji when someone is upset and angry.

Sadly the door staff seem the have there own agenda which doesn't always mean the best care for the public visiting.
They are rude and aggressive towards the public for no reason .

Asked if I'd been there before. We said no so the bouncer said it was £5 entry each. We said sod it and walked away. Why would we pay just to go in a pub? It was dead anyway. Deserves to close.

Refused entry to this club just because I was wearing tight fit joggers instead of jeans. Was given a vague reason of “its policy” without being able to come up with any explanation as to why. Avoid.

Spent £10 entrance only to stand in front of a till and all the bartenders serving everyone around me for 30mins, joke of a place to drink during a weekend

Good cultural venue and pub. you will feel safe there.
Even if you are not a gay it is worth to go for one of drag queens performances.

Totally disappointed with this venue arrived several hours early spent money on drinks only to be asked By security at quarter to 10 to leave the premises and queue in the cold and pay a fee of £10 per person to re-enter, absolutely disgusted Also i noticed in the threads below that owner claims In a response to another review that they are open till 6 AM I was informed at the bar they were open until 5 AM also he claims that it's 3 pound entry prior to 12 o'clock this also is an outright lie.He should be ashamed, Spoiled a perfectly good night

Was falsely acused of fake ID not the frist time it's happened one of the bouncers had UV ink on his hand prior to checking the ID, PLEASE BE AWARE
