I own three vehicles, two are project cars 20+ years old and one is a modern Nissan Qashqai I purchased from Atkins. They MOT, service and repair all of them and I live in Scarborough and still choose to bring my cars out to Atkins as I have 100% trust in their ability to look after my cars, explain exactly what needs to be done and to do all work to a very high standard. I have had numerous bad experiences with more local garages and none with Atkins I cannot recommend them enough they know exactly what they are doing. Good, reliable, friendly. And understanding the value of not cutting corners and overselling. I hesitate to say 'old fashioned' values because that sounds pejorative but their values will never go out of fashion. People you can trust.

Bought a used Nissan Pulsar from Stuart at Atkins Motor engineers and travelled 65 miles to see and buy it. Exactly as described and very happy with the purchase and the service i received. Would highly recommend.

We used this garage several years ago to service our Quasqai and never had an problems from that point of view. Fast forward to 2022 and we are car shopping for our daughter's first car. I telephoned to book an appointment to test drive a car and Stuart informed me that someone else was also going to look the same afternoon but would let us know if it sold. Imagine our surprise to arrive to find Stuart chatting to different customers in the car park but then when we went to him, he apologised that the car had sold and had been driven away. He used an excuse that he was just about to phone us. I know from buying cars that it would take at least 20 mins to go through contracts and paperwork. The minute the sale was verbally agreed, we should have been phoned to save us the journey. Luckily it wasn't a massive journey but you have just lost a potential customer by your lack of common courtesy. A simple 'excuse me, I must ask another member of staff to make a quick call for me to stop these people travelling' was all he had to say to the folks buying the car. Try to look at the bigger picture next time, if we end up buying our daughter a Nissan, guess who our local garage is... Or should I say, was! Very disappointed.
