Excellent service very helpful guys

Wanted to repaint kitchen cupboards but were worried about their melamine finish being hard to cover The guy at Maidstone decorating centre was really helpful & knowledgeable. We have used their Revive Cupboard Paint in Pale Grey which has produced a fantastic finish. Small tin went a long way & we ended up by updating our bedroom cupboards as well. So pleased, can't recommend highly enough!! Thank you Maidstone.

Very good place and good customer service

I've been trying to match a discounted B&Q paint, without success. I visited Johnstone's without much hope. Well, the chap who served me made a quick call to head office and a few minutes later, I walked out with a tester pot, which turned out to be an exact match. Fantastic service.

An absolute joke of a place employees sitting round talking not even taking notice of people trying to buy tools to get on with work what a waste of time will never come back again and will tell all the trades I work with about my experience

If I could, I'd give zero stars.

An absolutely appalling experience from start to finish in terms of being ‘served’ by an individual named Colin H, a retirement aged staff member shuffling around the branch being highly offensive & bordering abusive towards customers. Making nasty derogatory remarks for no apparent reason to perfectly polite & civilised customers & preemptively hurling insults in order to disguise his incompetence & lack of intelligence – both of which were plain to see & impossible to disguise despite the cover ups even insulting the customer when taking payment.

Shocking that this ignorant individual is allowed to deal with the general public & without a carer in sight. Other staff seemingly enabling the appalling conduct. An absolute disgrace, not funny, not humorous, not 'banter' & truly obscene in this day & age that an old man can be allowed to speak to customers in this shocking manner in a retail, commercial & supposedly customer service orientated environment.

Apparently there are frequent complaints about this problem worker & his attitude yet he gets away with earning a salary??

I hope that senior Area Management read these reviews & take the necessary disciplinary actions i.e. sack him & let someone else with manners, decency, respect & a brain take his place, there are plenty of people who would welcome such a job & take pride in their work.

Johnstone's have certainly lost this customer & the trade from my company; I will also be advising my contacts not to use this store in future but use competitors.
