Previously paid parking has been made free. Bus ride into town is also made free now, very helpful!

We visited the Salisbury cathedral, which I can recommend doing! On a warm day, this was a nice cool break, before climbing the tower.

The p+r has some facilities like toilets.

Could so easily have been 5 stars: Used this Park and Ride whilst visiting the area on holiday. The location was convenient, only a few minutes from the centre of Salisbury, toilet facilities were ok (for a bus shelter) and buses were leaving regularly and both the parking and buses were free, which was excellent BUT 1) When my partner and I returned to bus stop K, shown on the car park and town centre bus route maps as the stop to take for Beehive PnR no buses stopped, we waited and waited, checked the map again, walked across to the square asked a driver, who said it wasn't his route but he thought the pickup was in Castle Street (we had been standing in Castle Street), so confused we returned to the stop only to find out from a local that since the Novichock poisoning, buses haven't collected from stop K and they now pick up from the stop further along Castle Street (by the traffic lights). We wondered why the buses passing by said 'Not in Service' - maybe someone should update the map or change the information on the stop then - it would help visitors like us, who mistakenly believed the map.
2) When we finally made it back to the car park (much later than we had planned), we had trouble trying to drive out of the car park without causing expensive damage to our cars paintwork and wheels, from the thick thorn-laden stems of brambles, that had grown into the narrow exit lane in several places.
Our car isn't as wide as some but it was still very difficult to navigate the curve of the exit lane, whilst avoiding the brambles and we had to crawl along as slowly as possible, hoping for the best.
The exit lane could easily have been made wider but the bigger issue of the hedge on the left and brambles on the right, just needs some regular pruning/treatment.
What could have been a great experience that would have encouraged us to return, turned into an exercise in frustration and worry over costly paint damage, that could easily have ruined our day and run into ££££'s of repairs!

The group ticket is great. £4 covers parking and up to 4 return tickets.

Plenty of space and toilets which is a real bonus.
Bus ride into town (not back) was quite bizarre - went through a housing estate before RETURNING to the P&R then into town!! Driver lacked charisma unfortunately too.

Ok bit of a rant. I'm sure loads won't agree but this site is Shameful. To save money they don't supply those being tested with PPE masks ( they don't wear disposable suits visors just the basic medical.maskes themselves. They instead insist all windows are wound up except for when it suits them to pass you stuff or they can't hear you. At first they turned us away as I couldn't wind up the windows it was literally an oven. I pulled over on the roundabout ( thank's to those who asked if I was OK- I wasn't! But there's nothing anyone could do) to cool the car down and put the fans on full blast and tried again. It was soo hot! I'm still sweating and red faced after having both cold water and the windows open as we drove along.
And of course because the test was for my son I had to do it anyway. ( luckily? We are pretty good at doing them now) This was the 29th PCR test I have done with my children since September 2020 and by far the worst. No consideration for the needs of the people attending the test. Purely profit making. The government shouldn't license companies who don't care about the people who are having the tests to carry out the tests. They shouldn't license those who put profits above people and pay for them with tax payers money. YES the workers should be protected BUT they should be in full PPE not the children and their careers stuck in ovens.
