Lovely place to walk with the family! 😍 had to be careful when walking on the grass though because of dog mess.

December 2020, it is very muddy, so put your wellies on. There are lots of paths to take, and a great structure telling you which direction you are looking in and what is there as you look out over the Irish sea from the main clearing. This wood has matured from the tiny man made waste ground and is a lovely peaceful place to be. The dog's love it and dogs and humans alike make friends here. A bit like the walk at Abbots wood behind the abbey, this demonstrates how good Barrovians are at making the most of their surroundings when given a little resource. It might be muddy now, but it is still as lovely as in midsummer on late night walks.

Beautiful place! We walked down the side of the cemetery didn’t realise how far the woods went! There looks to be a old water trough running down the side of the banking gorgeous place♥️

real person, real review. how tun woods has been my favourite place in barrow for years. i've been walking through ever since i was a kid, and i've always loved it. it gives you a fantastic view of walney, and if you know where to stand you can see roa island. these woods are beautiful in all seasons, and my dog and i have always enjoyed spending time together here. i'm truly fond of it.

the only reason i can't give a 5 star rating is because muddy lane is in an atrocious state. riding my bike down there feels mighty treacherous.

but that's a minor gripe for somewhere as lovely as this. i've many memories here, from looking over the quarry with old friends to walking through the rocky path in torrential rain.. in my slippers.

its a lovely place. can't wait to bring my friends there to play football together. the fields are great for sports.
