Westgate Woods is a lovely place to go for a walk. There are lots of different paths to take and it's so lovely here at any time of the year. There is a car park with easy access for wheelchair users and the choice of a nice wide path. Its a very popular place for dog walkers and families. You'll find plenty of benches to take a rest, which are there in remembrance of someone. There are one or two picnic benches too. There is a barn tower and a memorial garden. Well worth a visit if you enjoy a peaceful walk in these well kept and maintained woods.

Very nicely maintained walk. Dog friendly, lovely walk with family and kids. Beautiful benches, small woodland area, open space, bird watching area. Good wheelchair friendly car park.

Beautiful green space to enjoy. Well maintained with a mix of hardstanding pathways and natural tracks. Wild Meadow and woodland walks. Great area for walking the dog and having a picnic.

Nice woods, eating blackberry at summer there sometimes. Very big area to walk with dogs or spend alone after a stressful day.

2 places to park.
Both are free.
One is Five House Lane, the other is Old Hammond Beck Bank Road.
Westgate woods and The Boston Woods Trust is the same thing.
The woods themselves are quite small and can easily be walked around in 40 minutes.
There are however walks off of the woods you can do into fields and meadows.
There are wooden benches everywhere here, it's well looked after.
Alot of the pathways are concrete so good for buggies etc, but be careful as they can get slippy in the wet.
A great area to relax too.
Dog friendly and yes off lead is ok.
No toilets or cafes here I'm afraid.

Lovely place to walk the dogs. Been today hardly anyone there. Not too muddy either. Will definitely be back 😊

Me and my parents go here often to walk my dog and although it's quite a small wood it's still very nice and well kept. Other reviewers said there is no cafe/ toilets but there is just across the road from the car park at a place called 'The Fishermen's Rest' where everyone is welcome.
