A large area of green right by the coast.
Popular for picnics and BBQ's.
Victorious Festival held here every August Bank Holiday.
Also a yearly Kite Festival, Gay Pride and Volkswagen Show.

Nice tourist location. Lots of places to explore. Good transport network. The men in uniform are very helpful and nice to tourists. I was at the Kite festival with my family, and if was very nice. Lots of amazing kites, lots of amazing people, and everyone had fun all around.

Huge green space that beats many others right by the sea. Lovely place to enjoy a sunset, and even during busier periods you'll always get a space. Theres almost always something going on in the area so definitely worth a visit.

Came here in July for the Portsmouth International Kite Festival. Awesomely awesome and a spectacle to behold!. Not to mention the refreshing sea breeze as you walk on by!...

Big, wide open space, nice and close to the beach and Southsea shops, with Clarence pier and the Hovercraft just over the road too. Public toilets available by the pier too. It was a little brown on our visit, due to the recent heatwave and onset of drought, but still a beautiful space for a walk (or run, if you're six!! Ha ha!)

A vast green area closes to the sea. Very impressive scenery of the swan lake and momentum plus playgrounds for the kids.

Love the place. Spent the evening with family and took my little one for a swim. It's a pebble beach but kids can still play sand castles at shore.
