Very peaceful place even though it's next to a main road. Stunning trees especially the magnificent Oak tree. Fragrant lavender dominates the borders and there are plenty of secluded areas for peaceful meditation or mindfulness.

Interesting gardens with some historic buildings. Some areas are a bit run down.

Lovely gardens, a great place for a quick walk around. Shame that the out buildings tend to be popular for rough sleepers, street drinkers even drug users. On my last visit I watched two males appear from behind the bushes in the corner of the gardens. Not really suitable for young children. Shame, nice place though.

loved this place. very chilled out area. plenty of bench seats and bins. not very big but secluded. the monuments in the grounds all come from several different locations in or around Gloucester and have been moved multiple times with long histories, (600 yrs or so). the trees are magnificent and many different types. will spend more time here on sunny days as shade is abundant.
there are a few homeless people and they do occupy the monuments so be aware of their privacy, as respect is a two way street.

Small council owned gardens with some historic old monuments within the grounds. Part of older church still there, but unless you are on an official visit there is no access to it.

A nice garden that was once the private gardens of the nearby Hillfield House. Has no play area but has a large grassed area with mature trees and large benches.
