Oakwood Park Recreational Ground

Large green space with a playground however the real hidden gem here is the crystal clear river a bit of a walk from the carpark down the gravel track. Water is about knee deep and more than clean enough to paddle in or for kids to take a dip. There's also stepping stones and little minnows to catch if you take a net and bucket - it's very pretty!!

Great area for local sports, including the local football team, and a play area for local children. Easy access to local woods and footpath down to the river Itchen.

Well kept safe park. With a lovely walk to the water pumping station along the river. Part of the footpath along the river is closed at the moment but plenty of other routes leading down to the bridge. Also a quiet memorial garden.

Nice little park. Great slide, higher than normsl- could benefit from a little refurb with easier access (adding steps) to the slide for younger children

Lovely little place, shame about the vandalism around the basketball court, it seems continous.

Plenty of parking and open grass with acouple if benches and a playground. Very pleasant.

Lovely,well kept park, also good for a walk to the itchen.
