Memorial Park

Beautiful Park. If you go down to the little pond lake thing, you will be surprised to see terrapins in there. And then squirrels playing around. Very peaceful and calming

Park was clean and seemed well maintained. It is completely contained with different areas for different age groups and fairly well laid out. There were some swings for disabled children and wide walkways around the edges but not leading from area to area. The rest of memorial park has very well maintained, wide walkways, lots of shrubs and nature areas, large playing field and courts. Plenty for a family to do. (Also for geeks like me, plenty of Pokestops!🤣)

We came here expecting to see more historical points of interest. But Fleetwood has basically NOTHING!. We was so surprised to see no historical plaques or points of interest anywhere???. Has no one famous ever visited or worked here??? Has no royal family member ever visited? We even had to Google the tower? Which turned out to be Pharos Lighthouse?? Who knew. Well absolutely no one we spoke to knew a thing about it and when we looked there was no plaque - no history whatsoever? I just can not understand how such a vibrant town with so many old fashioned looking shops and buildings can show no interest in displaying its own history? Just why?? Poor show ☹️

Lovely park, it's just a shame the people don't use the bins provided for them,

Nice park ,good for families with YOUNG KIDS, plenty of space for football and other games, Cenotaph always has Flowers round it ,(wen kids leave it alone)
Good lake, for duck's and other bird's 🙂

I love our local park, it has been a blessing during lock down. A lovely duck pond, great planting, a tennis court and all weather pitch. Plenty of toddlers and children's apparatus to play on, a massive sports field, small woods, 3 bowling greens and dedicated to all our local war heroes with a cenotaph and heritage walk. Well done wyre/Fleetwood council and all the staff on maintaining and continuing to improve Memorial Park.

Nice Park to walk round only thing letting ot down was the amount of beer bottles left around

Spacious park which is nice to walk round. Plenty of trees line the main entrance. The benches facing the memorial are a nice place to sit but I also like the benches overlooking the duck pond and playing fields. There's a couple of play areas and a sunken garden. The walk behind the duck pond is popular.
