Really nice open park with trees to one edge. Good parking and varied equipment for all ages. Basketball, tennis area and, gym equipment as well as smaller kids play areas. Plenty of green space.

Kids had fun playing with the Basketball court, the outdoor gym area and the outdoor play area which had slides, swings and other fun things to play with. The park has a free parking facility. Not a lot of spaces though, but we got lucky for the place not to be too busy.

Recommended place to go to when in the area. Kids played for about two hours and didn't want to go back home! Weather wasn't very warm, but the kids were very busy with many items to interact with that they barely noticed the 12 degrees outside temperature 😉

We visit here quite regularly.
There's a children park for under 12's with a selection of play equipment in.
They have tennis courts, basket ball court, a selection of public gym equipment (although these are quite worn out and need some tlc)
There's a nice big green to let the children run wild and play sports on. We like to picnic over here in the summer.
There's a woodland area towards the back, where the children like to make dens and find insects.
There is a couple of covered seating areas along the path, but these are usually taken by groups of youths.
I think the park would benifit from additional benches and better upkeep on the gym and court areas.
But overall the children aren't fussed by this and enjoy coming here.

Nice park with very good facilities for youngsters and free parking. Basketball court. Tennis court. Mini football pitch. Outdoor gym and good size playground for younger kids around a large field with football goals. And free parking! All for free.

Could really do with a revamp. The parks are both old, rusty and grafitti is rife. Some of the equipment does not work. Not the best for families.
We visit when they host the play in the park events in the field which are great for families.
Edit (June 2022) The park has since been updated which has vastly improved the feel of the area.

I do like this park as it has quite a variety of things to climb on although I find alot of teenagers hog the climbing frames specifically designed for small/young children which is a let down but not much you can do about that. It also has an outdoor gym- occasionally the public toilets are open but when they are , they're disgusting.
