A nice local open space that includes a kids playground, outside fitness equipment, enclosed football area and cafe.

Grown up around this area so it'll always hold some kind of nostalgia for me. The new park is pretty nice, not as large as the previous but plenty of new equipment to keep the children occupied for a while! Field is great, I mean, it's a field. Perfectly acceptable for walking the dog.. Or playing football, or generally doing things one would normally do in a field.

This is one of the bigger open greens in Colchester it's a friendly and faieclean recreation ground. There is a good sized carpark with disabled bays, there is a lovely little cafe called the GO4 cafe that is a pay it forward cafe also. Along the side with the cafe there is a dog fitness park with dog agility things then the cafe, then a human fitness park with 2 awesome Table Tennis tables just bring your own bat's and balls and then a good sized children's play park. There is at the far end a basketball hoop and a little metal canopy to sit under with benches too and there is a bowling green too but I think you'll have to be a member to use it. All in all a lovely place to go.

Good park, has football/ basketball court. A little cafe. Good park, grounds to walk your dog and also gym equipment and table tennis table. No toilets unless you use the cafes.

Nice fun place for the whole family ,from youngest to oldest. All I would suggest is to make the area safer by adding some cctv cameras. I feel scared when I go jogging alone in there..just think someone can jump out of the bushes anytime . Other than that I think this is what colchester needed. For all the ones that lobes sports or just simply watching around and relaxing on a bench. Great place,to me and my family it's like going on a holiday when we come here

Always a great place to chill out. Wicked play park for the kids, big open field, all ages seem to have a place. Sports areas and bowls greens. And it's a location for a funfair a few times a year. Always loved the Rec.
