There is a lovely lady who lives in the apartment by the gate who leaves tins full of bird seed on her window sill free to anyone who wants to feed the wildlife. She only has two requests one is you return the empty tins and the other is you don't throw the seed into the water. She is happy for you to take as many tins as you like as long as you feed the hungry birds. We take my grandson there regularly and he loves it! There is also access to the bowling green where you are welcome to watch the players during the summer months. This is also a very relaxing pass time of ours. 😊

Surprisingly charming little place.
At first, I didn’t think it would be all that great, as it’s just off the High Street, but actually - once you walked through the gate, you wouldn’t even know you were in the middle of a busy town.
Just before you get through the gate, on the windowsill on right hand side, you will see free cans if bird food to feed the ducks, geese and other feathery friends that will come to greet you. Unfortunately - you will also see some rats around the pond trying to get hold of a free snack and that is the only reason I didn’t give 5 stars.

Great outing with children to feed the ducks. Admittedly a bit flooded with recent rain though!

I love clockhouse gardens, it's so peaceful. Lovely place to come and clear your head, and spend a little time with the ducks and geese around the lake. Great photo opportunities too.

Visited on 31st May. There were quite a number of baby ducks and it was lovely just to walk round in the peace and quiet.

Now a shadow of its former self this is still a nice quiet (apart from ducks quacking) oasis away from Upminster town centre. A slow walk around and being careful to avoid the deep puddles from the recent rain meant we (me and doggo) had time to appreciate the surroundings.
