Trumble Gardens

Nice little playground hidden away but it's a shame about all the drunks and dodgy teenagers smoking and loitering under trees and behind the bushes all day resulting in graffiti, damaged fences, cigarettes and alcohol cans everywhere. Did not feel safe at all as the playground was hidden around the corner behind the houses past the tennis courts. Had to leave quickly too as there was another mum who sat on the benches playing loud rap music whilst her kid was running round the playground on her own. Not the kind of safe and peaceful area you'd want to go to at all.

Looks like a lovely little park with Rose garden, tennis courts (that could do with a resurface and tlc) small car park and children playground. I would give it 4 stars, but there were 5 guys (2 homeless) in the shelter by the playground. Smoking bbq, mattress. Obviously been there for some time. Friendly and chatty, but may put some people off.

Unfortunately, the upper gardens are always full of drunks and in todays visit it appeared that someone had taken up residence in the rain shelter

Was alright 20 years ago, now full of day drinkers and yoots. The (now non-functional) water fountain I used to drink from as a child now contains within it an empty bottle of cheap vodka, which I think is a good metaphor for the place.

Update: it's still awful

a great park.. really nice and quiet but at the entrance you have all these people sitting there drinking and making noise.. sometimes swearing etc... it also have lots of tennis courts

It's not kept clean. I feel disappointed about the behaviour of many people who are ignorant to put the garbage properly.

This used to be good children's park but it has gone downhill now. There was graffiti everywhere and gates torn off. I would come here all the time when I was a child. I took my daughter there and its rubbish!

Pretty much as expected when it comes to parks vs Thornton Heath, and I'm feeling a bit guilty about being so middle class, but...... It's a great place to drink cider and have a loud conversation with yourself and that's a popular pastime here. Grass needs a cut too adding to the neglected and unloved vibes - Croydon Council, pull your finger out!!
