Great to walk and enjoy nature. Fresh air, and good biodiversity of plants can be witnessed. People come here with their pets as well. So a great fun filled place..

A rewarding meandering walk which takes in Bittern's field, Brent Valley Park is a large and relatively unlandscaped green space illustrating how this usually bustling and crowded city is greener than you think. Unless you look at it on the map it will be hard to believe you are not in the countryside.

Known locally as The Bunny Park, This little gem is hidden away at the bottom of Churchfields in Hanwell. A wonderful place to spend the afternoon with so many different areas to explore.

The Zoo and Butterfly House

Hanwell zoo and the Butterfly House are located in Brent Valley Park, next to SAN Marino Cafe. Don’t expect Tigers, Lions and Elephants, but it is an interesting Place to visit for the little ones.
There is also a butterfly house, which is extremely warm and humid in the summer months.

Kids Park and Swings

There is a children’s park, which is not the best kept, nevertheless it provides adequate entertainment for the younger ones. It has slides, swings for the little ones and the slightly less little ones. A Zip wire and tyre swing also provides addition fun for the kids.

Hanwell Maze

Located just past the kids park, with luck you can lose the kids in the maze for a while. Alternatively, you can watch them from the viewing point.

Picnics in the Park

In the fields you are sure to find a suitable place for a picnic, over looking the fields and down to the River Brent.

San Remo Cafe

Right in the heart of the park is a Sam Remo Cafe, serving snack, coffee and ice cream to eat on the terrace or takeaway.

If you are the more energetic type, take a walk along the river, cross over at the Viaduct to the other side and you will find some great walks taking in the scenery along the the other side.

Parking

While there is a reasonable size car park, at weekends and in the summer months you may find you are unable to locate a space. Residents parking around the area means you would need to park further a short walk away.

A lovely park with great playgrounds for the kids. A lot of wildlife and greenery for somewhere in Greater London. People have a sad habit of leaving litter in places though which is the only downside.

I visited here in April 2022 as part of walking the Capital Ring around London. This was a large green countryside area that was reasonably peaceful, but there was a sports field at one end.
