Sandy Slade used to overlook the Rawnsley quarry, but now serves as a pine plantation that's great if you want to get away from people. There are many puddles left by the forestry in the woods and these serve as breeding areas for frog's when the winter is breaking into spring. By summer the woods are usually full of foxgloves.
