Lovely get away from it all campsite, really basic but thats what we wanted, it's about as close to wild camping as you can get. Lovely welcoming lady (owner) at the booking office (farm house) cheapest around, looked like barbeques were allowed. It's a good base for walks not to far from jacob's ladder and Mam Tor. all in all we enjoyed it and will be returning soon.

This site is one of my most favourites, vert basic and quiet. Unfortunately, it is now closed until 2021, the owners don't want to risk it and I totally understand that.

We have had many of good camps here. As a family in tent plus me and hubby in van conversion, we pulled up at little office to book and pay and always greeted with a smile so friendly, even when owners hubby was ill told lady always tried her best along with bill ( tractor Tom) 🚜 well today 21st April 2021 I called to check on opening due to restrictions been lifted etc and God bless her she told me that decision was made to remain closed permanently during covid lockdown and age approaching is hard for just the 2 of them. I'm sure right choice been made for them. I hope they have a relaxing retirement and keep safe, thank you for always welcoming us we never had a bad camp even been stuck in bog with sheep it was part of excitement 😀.
