Winckley Square

Loved it. Its a great place to chill out in the sunshine as there is no wind, all the tall buildings around the park actually stop any wind getting in.

Nice little green area

If there is a finer place in preston to lose an hour, with a mate, courting the devil's lettuce, I don't know where that is

On a nice day this is a nice place stop to eat lunch, or even take five minutes away from the hustle and bustle of the city centre. Plenty of benches, lots of well kept open space, clean and well maintained

Lovely peaceful park surrounded by a Georgian square in Preston. It's beside the city centre and close to Avenham and Miller Parks. There's plenty of park benches and the whole place is beautifully maintained.

Absolutely stunning park , the feel of history and nature combined, historical plaques on the railings around the park, different styles of plants and trees, has its share of vandalism by people who steal the plants in the wooded areas given to the park by the public,but it's serenity is good for your time and health.

Lovely small park close to the city centre. Surrounded by historical buildings each with its own story. Recently modernised and improved which has made it more popular for visits at any time of the day to sit and relax or walk around.
The 'Friends of Winckley Square' produce a monthly newsletter and organise regular events such as historical tours of the area.
At various times throughout the year festivities are organised in the square with activities for all the family. At Christmas, in particular there are Carol concerts, bands and other entertainment with drinks and food stalls.
