Wow wow wow. For a privately funded garden this place is amazing. I lived in Ivybridge for 24yrs and now just down the road in Plympton, but have, never ever been! It has everything, a beautiful stream running through with bridges and ponds and Rhodedendrons. Azaleas and Camellias flowing elegantly throughout. The endless variation of walks, secret little paths and beautiful hideaway seats and pergolas, where you can steal that precious moment in the warmth of the sun makes this a very special place. The house is also enchanting ( not open) and blends perfectly in symmetry with the gardens. The tea rooms are quaint, nothing fancy here....but lots of homemade cakes. I walked so got a whole 50p off the entrance fee!! Get there soon....its at its finest now. Only opens weekends and Wednesdays.

Fabulous garden with many nationally important trees. The handkerchief tree and rhododendron and azaleas were in flower and amazing carpets of bluebells when we visited. Superb cakes and well!! ♥️👌🍰

Garden are beautiful it's to look at and see very dog friendly too. The tearoom does not sever fresh orange juice. The orange cake we had was a little dry and crumble. The vegan flapjack was very good.

Glorious garden to wander in. Loved the meandering paths and bridges, with the stream and ponds surrounded by such a selection of shrubs and trees. The walk through the beech woods with a carpet of bluebells was just beautiful.

Quite an extensive estate with an exceptional collection of rare trees and shrubs. Best in the spring with magnificent magnolias, but also very pretty in late Autumn, the acers being particularly colorful. Easy walking around most of the gardens but the outlying regions a little more uneven. Very beautiful water gardens and lakes. Well worth a visit and the cafe
serves a good range of refreshments.

Lovely gardens at Lukesland, well worth a visit if you are living locally - it is privately run and only open a few days a week as stated on their website. Well kept grounds and lovely little cafe with friendly staff. Highly recommended! Also dog friendly (dogs not allowed in the indoor part of the restaurant).

Gorgeous gardens, shame I missed the April show of Rohdadendrons and azaleas, but there were a few still out in full bloom. Well worth a visit.
