Bawsey Lakes

Walked the dog for just over an hour. Nice enough but a little neglected. Fair amount of litter and fencing not well maintained.

For sun bathing or dog walking around perfect but I do not recommend it for swimming after what I seen around the lake. Overall nice place for a weekend walk, especially if you live nearby.

Not a place to stay with family as there too many people drinking and listening music loudly

I warn you - the place is not official and does not meet any safety requirements! These are former abandoned quarries with an old road, unequipped beaches and no toilet. Places for garbage collection are not equipped, therefore people leave garbage on the shore.

An unexpected find - it was a great walk around the lake - even has sandy beaches our dog thoroughly enjoyed her time there as well. Finished off with tasty bacon roll and a cuppa.

Was nowhere to pay for parking.
Thought nothing of it - £60 fine came three weeks later.

Cars strewn everywhere and lots of people swimming and partying by the lakes

This is a tranquil beautiful hot-spot for locals and tourists from everywhere.
What is sad is the amount of people who do not read the signs and respect the parks wishes.
I have seen people after dark going into bawsey in cars when they shouldn't be.
I dislike how people disobey they rules and trash this beautiful place
