Needs decent maintenance for kids to enjoy football on the pitches. Shame on you Cardiff City Council for not maintaining them
Also dog walkers need to remember to keep off pitches as dog poo is a serious concern for youngsters

Lots of fun for the kids. Nice up to date playground in rhibwina. Super happy fun for the kids. A massive play field, rugby, football, car park, swings slides etc

Easy to miss the turning, but plenty of parking and lots of pitches. Although can be a bit bumpy and some pitches were on a bit of a slant! Great venue for seeing lots of matches at one time though. And a good area to walk your dog.

Fine park for a walk around and has a children’s playground that’s been refreshed quite recently. The playground has an ok range of things like a climbing frame and slide, swings and a merry go round. Not the biggest of playgrounds in Cardiff, but it’s not the smallest. It’s not my favourite of the parks in Cardiff (Roath, Bute and Cefn Onn parks) so I wouldn’t make a special trip here, but it’s not terrible either.

The City Line runs on one side of the park (it’s fenced off) and Rhiwbina halt’s in one corner of the park. On another side there’s a brook, it runs along a concrete culvert and is also fenced-off as the water can be fast running. A lot of the park is taken up by sports pitches, but is fine as a green space to walk around. There’s also a car park by the pavilion (it’s off Northern Avenue) but the spaces aren’t marked, which is fine when it’s quiet, but possibly a bit of a free for all when it’s busy.

Rhiwbina village is a short walk from the park, with cafes there. Or Whitchurch village is a further walk across Northern Avenue and down St Margaret’s Road and has a good selection of cafes.
