This car park is appalling. It is not the responsibility of the cafe; they just get the complaints. I do not know who is responsible for it but Canal & River Trust presumably have the ability to make sure the people who collect the payments (when the machine is working) make it safe to drive over. Visiting last week some potholes are now so deep the best vehicle to use would be a tractor or carefully in a land rover or jeep.
Update: C&RT are on to this but, obviously, they are having to concentrate on dealing with flood matters. The piece of land in question is apparently the responsibility of Leicestershire County Council and we know how hard pressed the councils are in regard to road repairs.

Terrible potholes and poorly marked out. Pricey pay and display. Only good thing about it is the machine is currently broken.

Great to see the cafe open again at Sutton Cheney Wharf. Just one problem the parking machine no longer takes coins or a touch card payment. Instead you are required to download an app from the parking provider. If you have an older phone you are invited to pay by text or phone. Both of these later options are a complete pain for the sake if a £1.00parking fee. Failure to pay £40.00 penalty.

Made an on the spot deccision went somewhere else

Car park is full of pot holes. Gone up from £1 per day to £2.50. Only one pay display machine that now doesn't take coins. Card payment or on phone. And machine is very temperamental and not easy to use. Considering its a lovely place to walk, very popular, and stop for a coffee you'd think they'd get the ticket machine sorted.

The car parks at Sutton Cheney Wharf are the hub of some great walks, but the entrance to the car parks has some horrendous pot holes. At £2.50 for 24 hours, it's worth the money parking there if you avoid the potholes on the way in/out.
