Good location car park but no credit card payments, and no signal to pay on the app 😢 There is a public toilet there which is pretty clean. I parked my car on the left when you drive in, about 4 bays down. Cant complain about the parking process, but then I'm pretty talented at parking and can usually get it bang in the middle of the white lines without having to adjust. The scenery around can be off-putting for those who lack a certain parking focus, and this can be easily spotted, mostly by looking for BMWs. Overall, despite the amazingly beautiful walk, it wasn't a bad car parking day.

A great location to explore Kinder. It's a good size car park but fills up quickly. We paid £6.00 to park all day. The machine only takes coins though so be prepared. There's also toilet facilities to use.

Pros - Free public toilets.
Cons - Parking ticket machine doesn't accept card or notes, only coins. However, The Penny Pot cafe just nearby will change notes for you.

This is a very good starting point for any walks around the Edale area, and as car parks go, it is very well done. The irritation though is the parking meters. They only take coins and claim to be working when they're not. The parking warden who was on guard was able to sort this and I did manage to get a ticket. She explained that they couldn't use contact technology because of a poor signal, but you could download an app and pay by phone!!! err doesn't that require a signal ???

Beautiful countryside. This carpark loses a star for not accepting card payments. However the location is perfect for a hike along the pennine way or up Kinder.

The only real parking option in Edale unless you're booked into a local campsite and park with them. Can fill up quickly on weekends and bank holidays. It has on site toilets, a village hall and can accept motor homes. Pay and display 24 hours a day. Prices start at £2.50 for up to 2 hours, up to £7 for 24 hours for vehicles no larger than 3.5 tons. I always find £6 for 10 hours is the best option so you're in no rush on a walk or visit. The car park also takes coaches, £5.50 for 4 hours, £10.50 for 10 hours. The machine could do with a card option as often people get there to find you need coins only. The local cafe near the train station will give change in cashback however. I've parked in this car park for over 20 years and never had an issue. The attendant is there regularly and usually friendly and helpful, so please be respectful to them and the local residents by parking here rather than in pub / residents car parks.

No problem parking, machines only take cash though, £4 for 2 to 4 hours which wasn't too bad. There were also free to use toilets. They have extra long spaces for coaches which can be used if you have an extra long motorhome, always nice. Perfect parking for walking into the hills.
