North Place Car Park

My elderly mum was very upset; she parked her car, went to pay and found that she was completely unable to navigate the payment system. She was then terrified that if she just drove out of the carpark to park elsewhere, she'd be landed with a hefty fine. She was saved by a kindly passing stranger who very generously paid for her parking, but she won't be trying to park there again. If you're going to have a non-straightforward (ie coin-based) payment system then you need a decent grace period in which people can give up and go elsewhere without being charged.

Normally it has lots of space, local to the shops and restaurants plus it's not expensive. I used to park here however it's cheaper to use NPCs App and park there instead. ( Due to the rude response I've lowered my review, Download NPC app and park in there, much safer too as this place has Pot holes everywhere )

The parking is near by the shops and the cinema.

However, the maintenance of the parking is poor, they are holes around and I am not sure if they have to charge for parking like this.

Last time when I paked there I paid with my card. At the moment I have to appalled to them because they send me a fine.

I am extremely not happy with the service and I am definitely not recommending this parking!

The response of the owner or whatever he or she is here are extremely not professional and sarcastic. I never saw the parking on 50% full,so no point of the fake advertising.

You can brake your car or your legs in those holes.

Car park surface is dreadful and looks unsafe to me. If you happen to overstay by 10 mins you get hit with a fine which is massively disproportionate. The NCP next door is much nicer, cleaner and you pay on exit so no risk of overstaying. Avoid North Place if you can.

I will never park here again. The surface is dusty, uneven and badly maintained. I was fined £100 for being 16 minutes late. So disproportionate and unfair. Can't believe it. It doesn't even deserve 1 star.What a rip off!

Don’t go inside to drop off someone or pick up , you will get penalty charge notice 100£ ! At least invest that money from people ,on better surface for your parking space !

Convenient location, and parking wasn't too expensive. Small spaces, and ticket machines aren't the best to understand or read.
Note that the roads around have recently been altered, so more bus lanes with Fines, be warned.

Bought a ticket for the right amount of time and displayed it. Got hit with a fine, and POPLA (independent appeals board) found in favour of the car park.

Won't be coming back, even if my suspension could handle the pot-holes again.
