Runs out of spaces usually around 9-10am. Get there early or hope for a space. The car park ticket machines accept credit card with receipt given which is handy. Spaces not too tight. It's a little walk to the station after.

Expensive, busy and tediously slow/flakey ticket machines. That said it's the only show in town if you have to drive. You're better off cycling if possible.

Being asked to review another car park. You've got to love Google. As it goes, Tring Railway station Car Park is not one of my all time favourites.

On the plus side, no barriers, so easy to get in and out.

On the less positive side, spaces are narrow, often too narrow for modern cars.

If you don't pay by season ticket or app, machines are few and far between.

It gets busy, and can be full by 9am so consider station travel plans if your train journey starts later in the morning. It's quite a long walk from the far end of the car park to the platforms and ticket office.

When it rains, the drainage leads vast amounts of water down the steps of the ground floor exit of the multi storey. It's like walking up a waterfall. One for wellies.

Key negative point though is daily cost. £7 (Jan 19). It's extortion. Worse, the payment plan enforced means all tickets expire in the middle of the might (2am or 4am), so you can't overnight without buying two day tickets (£14). If this was central London, fair enough, but it's a field in the middle of nowhere.

By comparison, you can park at Finchley Underground for £4! So it's probably cheaper to drive from Tring, park at Finchley and get the tube.

If you want to gamble, there is currently no 'parking eye' arrangement, so enforcement of tickets is just some guy or gal wondering around looking for transgressors. They don't come every day (maybe once a week) and early or mid afternoon seems to be their shift, so you can do a cheeky early morning start and early afternoon finish with a low chance of getting a ticket.

The car park uses the Indigo Parking app which is not the best, but has improved.

Who knew there was so much feedback to give on a car park?

Been using the car park for about a month now and have had no issues whatsoever. Spaces have always been available (at least when I arrive before 8am).

A walk from the parking area to the platform will vary on how close your parking space is to the platform (normally 4&5 go into London), so give yourself plenty of time to get from your car to the platform.

There are multiple CCTV cameras and the width of the bays are adequate for most cars. Commuters also seem to ne very considerate when parking as well, I've only noticed ome imstance of bad parking on the ramp where I normally get a space.

Personally, I think the monthly rate is fair compared to how much I could be spending on fuel and contributing to pollution if I was driving. There are also meters in the parking areas ( not easy to spot when cars are parked)

Plenty of spaces at weekends but £6 charge seems high and it definitely feels it has dramatically increased since I was last there. None of the parking machines were accepting cards as apparently they struggle to get a mobile signal to process the transaction. You can go to the ticket booth on the other side of the line but possibly worth installing the app if you're going to park here on a regular basis, providing of course your phone can get a signal!
