St John's Multi-Storey Car Park

Locked the gates early! no clear signs about closing either. 2 other people locked out. Noone answering number, to even get acces to car. Happens regularly according to shop owners nearby. Absolute joke

This car park is horrendous to get into, very very tight, anything bigger than a smax or zafira and I wouldn't bother. You'll damage your car

As usual spaces available and easy access to the town centre

As of 2022+ its £4 to park all day. 7am to 7pm if you need that much on the Mi-Permit app exclusively. If you cant not use the app it will cost you £8.10 for the same timeframe. Both of which are way too expensive to park in a dying town centre. Gates close early. Escape-ways are damp and dirty.

I parked my car for the first time yesterday evening as I was going to the movies. When I came out to get my car the parking complex was closed!!!!!!! Eventhough I had paid till 21hO0. There are no notices outside saying what time the car park closes. I had to phone for a taxi which took over 45 mins to take me on a £7 trip back to where I stay and now today I have to catch another taxi to fetch my car..

I like parking here. Secure and east to get to the shops. Though I would have preferred one to pay when leaving and not before so as not to out pressure on oneself when shopping.

Get a penalty while was looking to get a change, been told to appeal and never get reply. Penalty grew from 40 to 160p.

We returned to the car park at 19:30 after eating out on a freezing, rainy and windy night and the complex was closed.

I called taxi company after taxi company - all of which had no cars - while being harassed for cigarettes by homeless people and drunks staggering around St John's Walk.

We paid £45 in taxis to get to our hotel and then back to the city the next morning to have to pay an overnight charge at this facility. Overall, this totally spoiled our weekend and put us out £60+ plus a good few hours, not including the stress of it all.
